What is it?
Divestco’s PLSS data or grid is a seamless, high resolution dataset of Congressional Survey townships and sections. The data was digitized from the USGS Digital Raster Graphics images.

Culture data was also derived from the US Census Bureau Tiger files. The Tiger county boundaries were modified to match the dataset as defined by 1:24,000k PLSS meridians.

Accuracy?
Divestco identified the required land survey data sets in multiple formats and projections, digitized, edge-mapped, and converted the polygons in order to ensure the highest possible accuracy. The guaranteed accuracy is +/- 40 feet to the DRG’s.

Uses?
The PLSS dataset can be used for land mapping, lease mapping, well spotting, rig mapping, permit mapping, and GIS queries.
